New Fire-Resistance Certification

Fire-Resistance Certification for Critical Infrastructure Applications

While CPR (EN 50575:2014) regulates the reaction to fire of cables used in construction, certain environments require cables that go beyond CPR and remain operational during a fire. For these critical applications, Keline has obtained a newly issued independent laboratory certificate confirming the fire-resistant performance of our CLTFR optical fibre cable series.

According to the certification issued by independent laboratory, the CLTFR cable types (CLTFRxxyyy, CLTFRxxyyy-PANC-zzz, CLTFRxxyyy-ARMD-zzz) were tested in accordance with:

  • EN IEC 60331-11:2001
  • EN IEC 60331-25:2001

The certificate is valid until 29.04.2028, ensuring long-term proof of conformity and safety.

Why Fire-resistant Cables Matter

Fire-resistant optical cables are essential wherever continuous operation must be guaranteed, even under direct flame exposure. These cables are specifically engineered to maintain functionality during a fire (circuit integrity). They are used in environments where fire safety and operational continuity are paramount, such as:

  • Hospitals
  • Airports
  • Subway systems
  • Schools
  • Data centers
  • Power generation plants, chemical plants
  • Industrial facilities
  • Road tunnels
  • High-rise buildings
  • Public buildings

All current independent laboratory certificates as well as the Declarations of Performance (DoP confirming the Reaction to Fire class of Keline installation cables are available for download on the respective product pages.

Keline remains fully committed to transparency, compliance, and delivering products that meet the highest European safety standards.
